We know what the Easter Bunny is bringing you!

Plus: Our book recs, spring cleaning made easy, and the best bourbon...

Happy Wednesday, Ladies! On this day in 1795, Ludwig van Beethoven had his debut performance as a pianist in Vienna. His “Spring” sonata for piano and violin is linked below.

Also in today’s issue:

  • Easter dresses: We’ve put a few in a nice little basket for you. 🧺

  • Spring cleaning with a plan, supplies, and no (or at least less) stress.

  • A very Tolkien-iversary: Impress your nerd (and Catholic) friends.

  • Book recs 📚 for your porch swing or beach chair.

  • And psychic bread?

SPRING CLEANING: Too blessed to be stressed by the mess.🫧 Here’s how to deal with the spring cleaning scareys, according to experts (i.e. our Moms): (1) take a deep breath; (2) write a detailed plan (like this one) — this prevents the swirling to do list in your mind from overwhelming you; (3) get your supplies before you start — maybe these non-toxic options; (4) tackle one room or area or drawer at a time; (5) ignore the urge to get everything done at one time or in one weekend.

Remember, you can always ask for help from a less-busy friend or teenager. Definitely get your kids to pitch in with this checklist. And, don’t forget to hydrate and eat!

Hit the books this summer with the below recommendations and enjoy a lengthened lifespan, stress reduction, less depression, better sleep, more empathy, and better connections with your loved ones.

Here are our favorites in modern American fiction — you can’t go wrong with these, and everyone will find something for them:

CHRISTMAS: There are less than 9 months until Christmas. Yes - that’s right. We said it. 🎄 Where did this come from? Two big holidays occurred last Saturday — first, it was the Annunciation, which is memorial of the Archangel Gabriel’s visit to the Blessed Virgin “announcing” (and inviting) her to conceive the Lord. March 25 - > December 25th — 9 months. It is also held by some to have been the day of Christ’s death in AD 33. March 25th is significant in another way, though. On that day in, well, honestly we have no idea what year, Frodo cast the One Ring into the fires of Mount Doom, 🌋 which makes March 25th the birthday of the new creation in two realms, I suppose.

  • Gross! Tell your husband to stick to the old-fashioned way!

  • Still need an Easter gift for your hubby or Dad? Get him buzzing 😵‍💫 and impress him with this bourbon.

  • And have him make two mint julips on May 6, 2023 for the Kentucky Derby. 🏇

  • You’re beautiful and perfect just the way you are! 🥰 But, if you want to tighten up for summer, it’s not too late. Start here.

  • Scary. Panera Bread will implement Amazon’s palm-reading payment system in 20 stores by year-end. Psychic bread - whatta world!

  • Beethoven’s Sonata for Piano and Violin No. 5 op. 24 “Spring

Mr6am - “There’s no way I'm the only one who wants to escape to Tuscany, live in a stone villa with my beautiful wife and our children, grow a flower and vegetable garden, raise livestock, plant grapes and tomatoes, can marinara sauce, breathe fresh air, play with my kids under the grape trellis, take morning swims in the ocean, drink clean water, get tan, eat cheese and cured meats, read books with a pipe, and get rid of all tech — right?”

No - it’s not just you, Mr6am … except no pipe for me :) When’s the last time you had a dream date with your spouse? Grab a bottle of wine and go for it.

Until Saturday, girls,
