Elmo gets sassy.

On this day in 1969, Sesame Street had its debut. But it wasn’t always sweet. Here are SS’s Top Savage Moments.

We’ve got some sugar and some spice for you today:

  • Simple Thanksgiving Table Settings

  • Mrs6am’s Go-To Exercise

  • An Overly Sweet Trend

  • Cell Phones AKA Conversation Crushers

  • From Harrowing Childhood to Outspoken Activist - She’s got Big News

ETIQUETTE: Cellular Sins—You’re guilty. I’m guilty. We all may need a refresher on cell etiquette. It doesn’t help that Americans check their phones every 10-12 minutes. Yikes. And screen time has increased from 3 hours last year to 4.5 hours in this year. It doesn’t leave much time for talking. So, has the art of conversation been crushed? And what’s to do about it? Deep breath. It’s a craft, but it takes thoughtfulness and a solid commitment. Because, deep down, we all know…

A life of delayed, soft commitments, a life spent always somewhere else, can ruin even the best party, marriage, or conversation.

FITNESS: The thrust is a must. The hip thrust does it all: it strengthens your pelvic floor and deep core, decreases back pain, improves your deadlift and squats, prevents injury in runners, and adds to (or perks up) your feminine curves. 🍑 Glutes are one of the most undertrained muscle groups. But they need strengthening — especially if you sit all day. We recommend going heavy with thrusts and use a band. If heavy’s not for you — or if you don’t have a barbell — that’s okay. You don’t have to hit the gym for hip thrusts to be effective. Start with body weight, then add dumbbells when you can. Then graduate to barbell variations like these. Added bonus: they are postpartum friendly, too. 🏋

WORLD NEWS: She’s got a story. And it’s getting better and better. Ayaan Hirsi Ali is a Somolian refugee, former Dutch politician, critic of Islam, activist against child marriage, terrorist target, and longtime atheist—until now. Ayaan has declared herself a Christian. Turns out, 20 years of atheism failed to answer all the tough questions. “Christianity has it all,” she has found. Prayers for Ayaan and her spiritual journey.🙏🏽

HEALTH: Baby, it’s cold outside. AKA perfect napping weather, or so says the Scandinavianss. A sleeping baby in a parked pram is a regular sight on a frigid winter day. Scandis claim babies take better naps, wake up with better appetites, and were more active after an outdoor nap. But, you don’t have to be a babe to take advantage of the cold weather/good health claims. Opening your window for 15 minutes a day can ensure air exchange in an otherwise stale, winter house, or says the Germans. Anything to avoid thosenwinter colds. And das ist gut.

If you’re not convinced by the cold, consider supplements.*

A Better Way To Get Uninterrupted Sleep

It turns out, not getting deep sleep could take years off your life, but medications aren’t the answer.

A groundbreaking 2023 report found that of those getting a good night’s sleep, without the use of sleeping medications, life expectancy was 4.7 years greater for men, and 2.4 years greater for women!

Big pharma HATES these kinds of studies which is likely why you haven’t heard about it…

And unfortunately, the length of your life isn’t the only thing on the line…

Not getting adequate sleep has been linked with:

  • Memory loss

  • Mood changes

  • Weakened immune system

  • High blood pressure

  • Weight gain

  • Low sex drive

  • Increased risk of chronic disease

  • Loss of balance and coordination

Luckily, there’s a better way to get uninterrupted sleep: Sleep Supportive Nutrients.
